The X Guide: The Spring Warm-Up (March 20–22)
NYC • Vegas • Connecticut
A Quick Note from Me
There’s a certain energy when winter finally starts to loosen its grip.
Not fully gone—but cracking. You feel it in the longer days, the way people linger a little more, the way plans stop being “maybe” and start becoming “where are we going tonight?”
This weekend sits right in that shift.
It’s not peak spring yet. It’s better. It’s the warm-up. The soft launch. The nights where anything feels possible again.
Here’s what’s worth stepping out for.

NEW YORK CITY
Friday — March 20
The city is waking up again, and you can feel it in the music.
Downtown Manhattan is where the night starts—think house sets that don’t peak until 1AM and crowds that actually came to move. Skip the overly polished spots and lean into somewhere with a little grit. That’s where the energy is.
If you pivot late, find a speakeasy. Not the tourist ones—the ones you almost miss walking by. Low lighting, strong drinks, no rush.
Saturday — March 21
This is your “main character” night.
Rooftops are starting to test the waters again. Not fully packed, not fully warm—but just enough to remind you what’s coming. Start there, then move downtown when the night deepens.
Expect a mix of warehouse parties, curated DJ sets, and that classic NYC chaos where the best part of the night wasn’t even planned.
Sunday — March 22
If the weather cooperates, this is a Central Park afternoon.
Coffee first. Walk second. Brunch somewhere with outdoor seating if you can find it. The city slows down just enough on Sundays to feel human again.
LAS VEGAS
Friday — March 20
Vegas doesn’t do “ease into it.”
Residencies are in full swing—big DJs, big production, zero subtlety. If you’re going out, commit. Pick one major club and do it right instead of bouncing around.
This is a heels-down, lights-low, lose-track-of-time kind of night.
Saturday — March 21
Dayclub season is creeping in.
Even if it’s not peak heat yet, the energy is there—music, drinks, and that very Vegas blend of chaos and precision. Start early, pace yourself (seriously), and plan a reset before round two at night.
Sunday — March 22
Vegas Sunday is about recovery—but make it aesthetic.
Poolside if the weather allows. Brunch that turns into early dinner. Hydration becomes your personality.
CONNECTICUT
Friday — March 20
This is your low-pressure night.
Local bars are alive again—live music, acoustic sets, nothing too intense. It’s the kind of night where you go out “just for a drink” and somehow stay longer than expected.
Saturday — March 21
If you want energy, head toward the casinos.
Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun are carrying the nightlife right now—DJs, themed events, packed floors. It’s the closest thing to a “destination night” without leaving the state.
If casinos aren’t your move, look for themed parties or local event nights—they’re starting to pick back up.
Sunday — March 22
Slow it all the way down.
Coffee shops, small markets, maybe a walk if the weather breaks right. Connecticut Sundays are underrated—they’re quiet in the best way.
Final Thought
This weekend isn’t about going all out.
It’s about re-entering.
Getting back into motion. Saying yes again. Letting the night surprise you a little.
Spring is close. You can feel it.
